Dov Grunschlag

Dov has practiced labor and employment law for many years, with broad experience across the field. His practice combines litigation with counseling of employers and individuals. He is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, has had the Super Lawyer rating each year since 2005, and has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times: The Best Lawyers in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dov was a partner of the San Francisco firm Steinhart & Falconer and then of its merger successor, the international firm DLA Piper. Before entering law practice, he was a law professor at the University of California at Davis (King Hall) from 1968-1974.
Dov is a graduate of Columbia College, where he was editor-in-chief of the Columbia Daily Spectator. He graduated magna cum laude from the Columbia Law School, where he was a Law Review editor. He served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Roger Traynor of the California Supreme Court in 1967-68.
Dov lives in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood. On weekends, he and his wife Jennifer (a glass artist) can often be found at their Napa home. He is an amateur clarinetist who plays the classical chamber repertoire.
